Stadiums provide a location for your highlights, offering bonus payouts for your team and enforcing their own house rules for Blood Bowl. Wherever you travel, you’ll find an entirely new experience waiting in the stadiums. Managers can choose to break these rules, but each offense results in a penalty, so you'll need to weigh your options carefully. A stadium might ban a certain skill, for example, limit the number of players a manager can use, or impose upper or lower limits to Star Power requirements. ![]() Wherever the corrupt ref stops, you can be sure to expect an increase in all manner of cheating, fouls, and underhanded behavior.įinally, Foul Play introduces stadiums, which are constant throughout a season, offer additional payouts to teams, and come with strict rules about who can play in them. After your player receives his face-up cheating token, the corrupt ref moves to a different matchup, moving a number of spaces equal to your player’s Star Power. Although the cheating token won’t resolve until when it would normally be revealed, you’ll have the advantage of knowing what’s coming to plan accordingly. Fortunately, you’ll be able to get away with more cheating than ever with the aid of a corrupt ref! Whenever you commit a player to a matchup where the corrupt ref is watching, that player immediately receives one face-up cheating token. When you receive a penalty, you draw a penalty card and resolve the effects, which are nearly always unfortunate. They can even turn opponents into additional Nurgle players! With disease tokens that lower other players’ Star Power, the team can only be compared to an unstoppable plague.įoul Play also introduces penalties to the game, with players receiving them in various ways, such as by drawing one of the new cheating tokens with the penalty icon or by losing the new Goblin Tribal Leeg tournament. Nurgle’s Rotters: The Nurgle players are a vile bunch, constantly spreading disease and oozing their way to victory. They always fight to the last breath, and sometimes even beyond. With thick skulls and packs of intimidating centaurs, this team is all about victory, even in the face of death. Not even being downed can stop these players from fouling their opponents. The Zharr-Naggrund Ziggurats: The Chaos Dwarfs are masters of destruction and revenge. They play to win by any means, but failing that, total mayhem will suffice. The Lowdown Rats never even consider fighting fair. The Lowdown Rats: Blood Bowl is known for its fair share of sleazy players, but these goblins take the cake, bringing chainsaws, bombs, and pogo sticks to any given game. ![]() They don't move particularly fast, they are very weak and are usually injured or killed during the game…and sometimes due to their own fault (handling a chainsaw can be dangerous).Blood Bowl: Team Manager – The Card Game – Foul Play, an expansion for Blood Bowl: Team Manager, introduces the Putrid Players' Guild to the game, with the PPG consisting of three new teams: Nurgle's Rotters, The Lowdown Rats, and The Zharr-Naggrund Ziggurats. They are true masters in the art of violating rules and will use illegal weapons like chainsaws or giant ball and chains, blows below the belt and fouling.Ĭheating aside, Goblins are not very efficient at anything. Goblins are agile but their real strength lays in their deviousness. While the chances of them blocking anything larger than a Halfling are remote, this never seems to bother Goblin players and the use of a particularly devious secret weapon will even allow a Goblin team to win a match. Goblins make quite good catchers because they are small and agile, but the art of throwing is sadly lost to them. A Goblin team's game plan owes much more to hope than potential.
